Here are the messages I see in this video:
He questions, “Was I my things?” Message: Life
events happen. Period. They just happen.
And when they do, it allows us the chance to reflect and see who we are.
He states, “I was a collector.” Message: He still is a collector. This event did
not change that. It took away his
collection, but not him as a collector. Notice that he replaced the collection
he lost with a collection of people who collected the bits and pieces of his
collection for him.
He gathered help.
Message: He was not afraid
to ask for help. It takes strength
to ask for help.
He learned a long time ago to make something good out of
something bad. Message: Take advantage of the opportunity life
events give you to create something good.
He asked, “Wow, is that better?” (The burned pictures)
Message: Change, even change that
we are not expecting, can bring about better things if we choose to see them.
He said, “I am proud of me.” Message: Acknowledge yourself and celebrate your perspective
no matter what it is.
He acknowledges, “I came to live it and I’m living it.” Message: Realize that we are here to
experience life as it is, so there is no need to fear or abandon it. In fact, we should immerse ourselves in
it because it is all good.
He softly commanded, “Dig it up. I want pieces, bits and pieces”: Message: Gather the bits and pieces of
your life to create the whole of who you are.
All the pieces, the life experiences, the connections, the
good, the bad, the hot, the cold, the ups and the downs all make up our
lives.
We are all of it.
Life IS bits and pieces.
